Personality
| His appearance may be unassuming, but he's got character in layers. It's a pinstripe sort of arrangement, the way his outermost part is cautious and fearful, but below it lies a gullible, unconditional trust, built up on foundations of loneliness and co-dependency -- gravestones in a cemetary where kindness and care now rot. His core is a fragility but he does well keeping it to himself even if he balances the dagger's edge of ruin at any given time. There is potential for radiant positivity and love, but it's buried deep, accessible only to those trusts enough to open up to. Anxious disagreeability is his default and it falls away so slow and the underneath is even harder to handle with its frequent swings into instability. One would think he isn't worth the effort, but just take your time. Give him validation and he'll thrive off it. Give him a flame and watch the birth of a supernova. |
PRIZED POSSESSIONS: |
His father's gold coin pendant. |
Infancy: Normal family, single child, a completely regular life but for a few rare in-between hiccups with the baby monitor picking up radio frequencies of a woman's voice. It's the only way the parents can rationalize what's happening since the child's room is empty whenever they go to check. Sun sometimes talks to himself in the middle of the night, but that's dismissed as well. Childhood Warning! Very very triggering content. Underage sexual violence. ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓
Soon as he's old enough to talk and walk, the child thinks himself up an imaginary friend. The twin in the mirror. It isn't uncommon to catch the boy sitting in front of a reflective surface and talking to thin air, asking questions and answering them as though he were speaking to a twin brother. He remembers the boy in the mirror talking back, but whenever his parents walk in, it reverted to his reflectio . Until things escalate, it's all attributed to Sun's imagination. Suddenly their house becomes a dark epicenter, somehow attracting tenfold more robbers and vandals than any other in the neighbourhood. Sun opens the door to malevolent strangers and claims the 'other boy' asked him to. Being just five at the time, he's believed to be acting out. Other children avoid him and he spends most of his time holed up in his room, talking to his 'twin'. He becomes troubled the moment his twin begins speaking in cryptic, ominous messages. 'We're going on an adventure. You have to say goodbye to mommy and daddy.' When he goes to his parents, they scold him for letting things get too far with his imagination. Days later, the men come. Mother lets them in because they say they want to talk to father and she goes to get him. Sun remembers she never made it to the living room. There's a loud noise and her face explodes in blood. He remembers his father screaming and then he's laying on the floor next to his mother, bleeding out of his head like her. He tries to run and almost makes it out, but then there's that loud noise again, accompanied by sudden excruciating pain and darkness. |
